asked to do a story about Grace Packs. This news piece aired on Saturday,
October 6th and Sunday, October 7th 2012.
The response from Oak Hammock faculty, students and parents, as
well as community members to the newspaper article and the news piece was
absolutely overwhelming! Twenty five generous donations of food were given
that month alone to our students in need. Five monetary donations were given to
Grace Packs that helped stock our pantry into the New Year. One
elementary student told his grandparents he wanted to give his own twenty
dollars to help other kids. Another family told us their children would like to
volunteer for our program. These students began delivering Grace Packs.
